The TIME WARP TT is the new weapon for Bahrain-MERIDA when racing against the clock, faster and lighter than ever before. While keeping the strong points of the former WARP TT bike, which was successfully won Taiwan excellence GOLD award, TIME WARP TT has been fundamentally redesigned. Pushing the limits of UCI’s legality and manufacturing, all the cables run completely internally, from the new full carbon cockpit to the brakes and derailleurs.
The front- and rear brake are entirely covered for reducing unwanted turbulences. MERIDA designed cockpit has a one-piece carbon design taking advantage of the UCI’s 3:1 rule cancellation. Its cross-sections are as slim as possible providing the best compromise of aerodynamic and stiffness. TIME WARP TT redesign offers an overall advantage of 9 Watt and a weight saving of 400g compared to the old bike. TIME WARP TT has an integrated storage compartment, that offers space for an inner tube, CO2 cartridge or mini tool.

Over 50 years ago, Taiwan-made bicycles were often seen as low quality, with U.S. shops even refusing to service them. During a business trip to the U.S., MERIDA’s founder, Mr. Ike Tseng, witnessed this firsthand. Determined to restore confidence in Taiwan's manufacturing, he founded MERIDA in 1972 with a focus on engineering precision and quality craftsmanship. Initially an OEM producer, MERIDA launched its own brand in 1988 and gained success in Europe. From 2000, it began sponsoring elite athletes, forming its MTB team in 2003 and later entering WorldTour road racing.
