Taiwan’s Machinery Industry – Current State and Development Potential
According to IEK Consulting, in 2018 Taiwan’s machinery industry had an export value of US$27.4 billion. The top three export markets – China, the United States and Japan – accounted for a combined output value of NT$1.18 trillion, an increase of about 7.3% and a continued record high. A number of factors, primarily the stabilization of global oil prices and exchange rates, a recovery of the major industrial economies of Europe at the end of 2016, as well as an industrial upgrade in China leading to an expansion in automation and demand for new equipment, have contributed to remarkable growth in the output values of two industries: high-tech equipment and metal-processing machine tools. While 2017 saw declines from 2016 in a few categories (namely, industrial machinery, other machinery, and metal molds), other secondary machinery industries in Taiwan, including high-tech equipment, metal-processing machine tools, mechanical transmission components, and fluid machinery, all showed increasing output values.

Global Machinery Industry Trends - Machine Tools Grow by Leaps and Bounds
According to an April 2018 report by Taiwan’s Department of Statistics, machine tools are the principal export of the global machinery industry. And according to research by Gardner Publications, global purchases of industrial machines have remained steady at US$80-90 billion in recent years. In 2018, global spending on machine tools was about US$91.9 billion, an increase of 4.8% compared to 2017 and the largest increase since 2011. With the steady growth of the global economy, the manufacturing industry is receiving an influx of orders, and with the rise of smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0, the global machine tool industry is flourishing once again.

HIWIN DATORKER Robot Reducer developed to take advantage of the elastic dynamics of metal. The advantages are as follows: 1. The design of the built-in motor and the side-mounted motor of this series is about 50% smaller than that of the traditional electric cylinder slide. It provides customers with more choices in narrow space and flat and low-assembly space applications. The new anti-skid cross roller slide patent allows customers to be more stable at high speed and high frequency. Whether it is used horizontally or vertically, the retainer will not be displaced and the slide will fall off. The compact design and industrial design with a corporate image color make the product more recognizable. This product will consider environmental protection specifications in functional design, process evaluation, and auxiliary use. The aluminum extrusion pumping process can reduce material waste and processing process to achieve the lowest waste generation.
Mylar peeler is a mechanical replacement for the PCB industry to manually separate Mylar from the substrate to improve the performance of the production line, reduce human negligence and other errors, but also complete the automatic production process of the photolithography process. The focus of this equipment is on Mylar separation of substrates, including blown separation film, film welding and winding, film checking and intelligent detection to ensure film separation quality and energy-saving production. Mylar peeler not only meets customer production requirements, but also reduces production costs. It is also the necessary equipment to achieve fully automated production. In response to the rapid development of smart manufacturing, precise control of production processes, and clear collection and management of production line data, comprehensive automated production must be completed as soon as possible.
The SDL-6 Six-axis linear drilling machine is using the linear motor as main drive mechanism. The overall ratio of utilization is higher by 14% than traditional ballscrew machine, which greatly increases customer's production capacity. This product has number of practical functions which including laser tool measure system, real time tool break detection, depth control / back drilling, peck drilling, QUICK drilling, etc. It also has machine monitoring, processing analysis, parts number analysis, broken drill bit analysis, message diagnosis/recording, remote control and other feature functions, which can collect and feedback the real time status of the machine and provide the instant corresponding reaction. A) Wisdom automation: The machine itself has an built-in automatic robot arm plus finished conveyor belt, which is matched with the machine's double spindle design.
