Ho Chi Minh City, July 17, 2017 – 66 brands distinguished with Taiwan Excellence Award will attend Taiwan Expo 2017, organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). The show will take place from July 26th to 28th, 2017 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).

In its debut year in Vietnam, Taiwan Expo 2017 will gather 170 booths covering multifaceted sectors, aiming to promote Taiwanese image and products. Especially, Taiwan Excellence Experiencing Zone is expected to attract the greatest attention with the presence of 66 prestigious and top-quality Taiwanese brands, namely Acer, EMS (Energy Management System), Walrus Pump, Aidmics, FECA.

Coming to the experiencing zone, visitors will have the opportunity to personally experience multiple breakthrough technologies of the 10th ranking economy in innovation. The display products span across various categories, including information and communication technology (ICT), home appliances, health care equipment and transportation, which will definitely satisfy every need of Vietnamese consumers.

Within the event’s framework, Taiwan Excellence’s Conference “IoT and Smart Living” will be held on July 26th, featuring modern technology solutions from Taiwanese premium brands.

According to Taiwan National Development Council (NDC), the strength of Taiwanese IT/IoT companies lays in hardware and communications, which translates to internet services and sensors when it comes to IoT business opportunities.

In addition to the latest overview information on the IoT in Taiwan, the conference will also focus on in-depth discussions on a range of related topics, such as the "Total Solution for Business", or "Smart Air Quality monitoring solution for city breathing".

On the eve of the event, Mr. Raymond Chen, Director of Strategic Marketing Department of TAITRA said, “Taiwanese businesses are paying more attention to the Southeast Asian market in general, and Vietnam in particular. Therefore, 2017 imprints a milestone in our deployment plan in Vietnam, with Taiwan Expo 2017, an official event of TAITRA. Themed ‘Greener Tech, Smarter Life’, Taiwan Excellence Experiencing Zone in particular, and this expo in general, will look deeper into the green, smart, environmentally-and-user-friendly technologies. Taiwan Expo 2017 is expected to draw the attention of many Vietnamese consumers, and become an annual event in near future.”

Apart from Taiwan Excellence Experiencing Zone and Taiwan Excellence’s Conference “IoT and Smart Living”, Taiwan Expo 2017 promises to represent a mini Taiwan right in Ho Chi Minh City with colorful cultural performances, hundreds of cosmetics, children's toys, food and drink, home appliances and smart devices.

Initiated by the Taiwan Bureau of Foreign Trade and organized by TAITRA, Taiwan Excellence Award represents the innovative and technological image of Taiwan’s most competitive industries. In 2017, citizens of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to have the chance to be exposed to superior Taiwanese products at Taiwan Excellence’s Pavilion, on November 8th-10th in the 9th Vietnam’s Leading International Water Supply, Sanitation, Water Resources and Purification Event – VIETWATER, also at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).
