Tokyo, Japan; June 16-18, 2017- At KITTE Marunoichi, the Taiwan Excellence brought back to Tokyo the Taiwan Excellence B2C Experiencing Zone with 76 products from 33 Taiwanese brands. In addition to ICT products, lifestyle, sports and leisure, healthcare products, a VR experience zone, and toy guns were all on display for visitors. And the extremely popular Japanese actress in Taiwan, Tanaka Chie, also showed up to get hands on with the products being showcased.
Tanaka Chie is famous for her movie Cape No. 7, which was shot in Taiwan. Not only did she show up for the event but also filmed a promotional video for Taiwan Excellence. The video shows how prevalent Taiwan Excellence products are in everyone’s life and how they are helping consumers worldwide. There were 19 company representatives that showed up for the opening, including from Acer, ADATA, Aidmics, Asus, Aver, BESV, Cyberlink, Dayco, ICS, Kuonao, LC Sax, MSI, Pacific Cycles, PlayMe, Step2Go, Taku, Transcend, Tatung, and tokuyo. The B2C experiencing zone helped the brands from Taiwan to meet potential consumers and promote their latest products. Over the course of 3 days, 17 business meetings were held, one of which resulting in Tokuyo getting their first order from Japan.
The experiencing zone was supported by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, sponsored by the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) under the program, Image Enhancement Plan.
Taiwan has always had a close trade relationship with Japan. According to a report on Yahoo Japan, this event not only provided a positive image of Taiwanese products to Japan but also met the objectives of the Image Enhancement Plan.
