"Medical Fair Thailand 2023" a global exhibition showcasing the latest in medical products and technologies, once again raised the bar for the medical industries. The prestigious event welcomed Taiwan Excellence, renowned for its research, development, and innovative design prowess. Fifteen Taiwan Excellence award-winning companies showcased their tailor-made innovations, catering to the specific needs of the smart healthcare, biotechnology, and medical industries.

Miss Pei-Yu Lin, Deputy Director of Strategic Marketing at the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), stated, "The primary objective of showcasing products in the smart healthcare, biotechnology, and medicine industries by the 15 award-winning Taiwanese companies at this year's Medical Fair Thailand is perfectly aligned with the theme “Future Telemedicine: Connecting Healthcare, Caring for the World.” This theme underscores the presentation of medical equipment and services for efficient remote patient care. These innovations have been developed through research, innovation, and expert validation, ensuring convenience, standardization, and safety. Ultimately, this will reduce travel expenses and facilitate timely healthcare for patients with limitations."

Mr. Preecha Bhandtivej, President of the Thai Medical Device Technology Industry Association emphasized that the COVID-19 pandemic has raised awareness about medical preparedness, AI technology has driven Thai medical device tech industry growth, and partnering with Taiwan's IT expertise and innovations benefits attendees and boosts Thai-Taiwanese relations.

Future Telemedicine: Connecting Healthcare, Caring for the World

This afternoon TAITRA is gearing up to host the Taiwan Excellence Product Launch, it features five pioneering “Taiwan Excellence” award-winning companies, to showcase their latest innovation.

AVer Information Inc. — A leading developer and manufacturer of education technology and visual collaboration solutions.

Energy Resources International Co., Ltd. — A dental industry innovator, certified by both Taiwan and the US FDA.

Wellell Inc. — Dedicated to patient-centric excellence, they showcased the Optima Turn Pressure-Reducing Support Surface, mechanically controlling air cells to facilitate continuous 30° patient turning, streamlining caregiver tasks and enhancing clinical results.

HIWIN Technologies Corp. — With a diverse range of medical robotics, they introduced the MTG H100, designed for surgeons who prefer robotic surgery. Its precise movement and endoscope positioning enhance minimally invasive surgery, reshaping healthcare services.

NanoRay Biotech Co., Ltd. — A top X-ray authority showcased the Revolux Hand Diagnostic Radiography System with ISO, QMS, US FDA, and Taiwan FDA certifications for bone age assessment. This "Made-in-Taiwan" device integrates a unique transmission X-ray tube, digital sensor, and imaging software for patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Cutting-Edge Innovations

Moreover, the event also prominently featured a showcase and demonstration of cutting-edge smart medical and telemedicine innovations tailored to the exact needs of the healthcare, biotechnology, and medical industries. These innovations are all made in Taiwan and from top-tier Taiwanese companies.

Telemedicine and Smart Medical technology are expected to remain a prominent choice for medical treatment, with continuous advancements in both efficiency and effectiveness in the years ahead.

Taiwan Excellence Award

The Taiwan Excellence Awards were established by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 1993. Every year, eligible candidates are subjected to a rigorous and stringent selection system that covers four major aspects of “R&D”, “Design”, “Quality” and “Marketing” to identify outstanding products that offer “Innovative Value” while satisfying the key criterion of being “made in Taiwan”. Products that have been selected for the Taiwan Excellence Awards would serve as examples of domestic industries and be promoted by the government in the international market in an effort to shape the creative image of Taiwanese businesses.
