Aiming to make Thailand the “Medical Hub of Asia”, and develop the Bio, Circular and Green Economy (BCG) model to create an eco-friendly society, the Thai government and businesses are actively introducing and developing healthcare and green products and solutions. All of these are in line with Taiwan’s industrial competitive advantages in healthcare and medical health innovation. Taiwan’s complete supply chain makes the country one of the best producers of upstream medical devices, while Taiwan's resource recycling efficiency ranks 2nd in the world to only Germany.
In order to promote closer cooperation between Thailand and Taiwan in the field of smart healthcare and green industry, the Taiwan Excellence “Experiencing the Wonderful Life Webinar” was livestreamed on Sept. 30, from (GMT+7) 10:00-11:00. Four leading Taiwan Excellence Award-winning companies, including Chien Ti, Inventec, JuTian, and YZTEK presented their innovative products.
Vivian Lo from Chien Ti shared the topic "Freedom of Movement". Its Moped Style Mobility Scooter (HS-925) and Compact Folding Mobility Scooter (HS-268) help the elderly to get around more freely, and are specially designed for easy storage and to fit snugly in car trunks for transportation. The HS-925 is a mobility scooter with a unique look inspired by designs from the motorcycle industry.
Alston Chang of Inventec introduced its “Chiline” Multifunction Physiological Measurement System, which is comprised of a Blood Pressure Monitor, Blood Glucose Total Cholesterol Uric Acid Monitoring, and an ECG Recorder. This system enables advancement from personal text recording to smart cloud management, while also offering healthcare management for both personal and family needs.
On the subject of "Recycling Agricultural Waste into Eco-friendly Products" Chris Huang of JuTian Cleantech shared its commitment to research into biodegradable renewable plant waste fibers, such as bagasse, bamboo fiber, and coffee grounds, which can be used to produce eco-friendly straws, cutlery and bottles. These materials are also able to be turned into compost to achieve biological recycling.
Elaine Chooi of YZTEK introduced its "Smart Kitchen Safety System Evolution, Leading Solution to a Safer and Healthier Kitchen". To avoid fires in the home mainly starting in the kitchen, YZTEK has designed the world’s first automatic stove switch off device, e+Autoff. This invention turns the traditional gas stove into a smart one.
The webinar attracted more than 130 people who registered online, with a peak of 64 peak concurrent viewers and 260 views in total.
In addition to the webinar, the four companies will be exhibiting their products at “Taiwan Expo 2021 in Thailand online”, which runs from Sept. 29 to Oct. 31, 2021. On top of that, 39 more Taiwan Excellence Award-winning companies will showcase their products ranging from smart medical and skincare, sports and leisure, and transportation to hardware. This demonstrates how the links between different industries facilitate a transformation into a value-added system that connects businesses and creates solutions beyond our imagination.
