The automotive industry constitutes one of the most significant elements of the Czech economy. Car production accounts for around 20% of both Czech industrial output and its exports. The main production equipment in this industry is machine tools. Germany is the country's largest source of imports, followed by Japan, Taiwan, and Switzerland. Taiwan is one of the most important global machine tool suppliers, specializing in various customized, automated, and intelligent machine tool manufacturing.

The demands of Czech industry make the country uniquely suited to benefit from links with Taiwanese companies, which are among the world’s key players in the manufacture of vital equipment for modern production systems. Therefore, the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) Taiwan, R.O.C, and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) are presenting a webinar which will show attendees the great potential that trade with Taiwan has for Czech businesses.

The webinar, “Taiwan Excellence - Pushing the Boundaries of Smart Manufacturing”, will take place on November 10, 2021, at 11:00 (GMT+1). Five leading Taiwanese companies, operating in the field of smart manufacturing, will present their cutting-edge products, which all have the ability to help revolutionize Czech industrial processes.
