As if a regular microscope shrunk by magic, μHandy microscope comes in pocket-size while its resolution can be up to 1 micrometer. Mobile phone cameras support auto-focus, so there’s no need to do tedious adjustments when doing the observation.

Instead of using traditional glass coverslips, μHandy uses stickers to collect samples. No need to put a drop of water, simply put the things that you want to observe on the sticker and you are ready to go. Tidy, fast and easy!

About Aidmics Biotechnology
Founded in 2012, Aidmics Biotechnology is a university spin-off from National Taiwan University. Consisting of experts from multidisciplinary fields, Aidmics Biotechnology is dedicated to developing biomedical and bioanalytical applications on smart-devices.
With our software/hardware integration capability, Aidmics Biotechnology is developing cutting-edge portable high-resolution microscope that has created new ways of visualizing the world. Integrated optical elements with smart devices, the optical resolution of our innovative microscope is comparable with that of traditional one. Our customized APPs also allow you to view, store, share, and analyze the microscopic images and videos within seconds. Having the vision of letting people appreciate “the power of seeing the unseen,” Aidmics created two products: iSperm analyzer and µHandy mobile microscope. iSperm, designed for farming industry, analyzes livestock sperm condition with specially designed lens and mobile devices. µHandy is a professional, portable microscope with resolution up to 1 µm, and is perfect for kids to explore the tiny universe. Aidmics joined the 6th class of Microsoft Ventures Accelerator (Beijing) in 2015. 21 out of 700+ entrepreneurial teams were chosen, and Aidmics was the only one from Taiwan.
