Hybrid bearing has been designed based on the principles of being light-weight, low-torque and waterproof features. To meet the demands by the market, its dimension and running accuracy have achieved the P4 grade. In order to satisfy the light-weight requirement, Hybrid bearings are designed with ceramic balls, which have the same load-carrying capacity as steel balls, weight reduced by approx. 40% . The exclusive seals is developed for low-torque and waterproof requirements. The torque can be reduced by 10% or more at the same waterproof performance, saving the bicyclist’s efforts and upgrading the overall performance.
The bicycle wheel hub bearing with Hybrid Bearings for Bicycle mainly appeals to light-weight, low-torque and waterproof and anti-contamination features.
1.Same load-carrying capacity as steel balls with lighter weight (reduced by approx. 40%) – making the ride more effortless, stable and faster.
2.Exclusive seal is developed which reduces the torque by 10% or more, for the low-torque and waterproof requirements – making the ride more effortless, faster and longer service life.
3.Higher accuracy than conventional bearing, making the bearing to have less vibration – proven by the experiment to produce less noise than steel ball bearings (by 10~20%).
Bicycles with Hybrid Bearings of have the following advantages:
1.More product value added, with a 20~30% of price increase. They can be used in the high-end bicycles.
2.They have the racing speed advantage (light-weight, low-torque), creating a marketing appeal for bicycles.
3.Compared to the conventional SUJ2 steel balls, the product level and quality are raised to a higher value-addition to the bearings.
4.TPI will create a win-win situation jointly with our customer in bicycle industries, to increase both production values and industry innovations.
5.TPI will continue to strive for perfection and will develop 100% ceramic bearings (inner and outer ring and balls that are all ceramic).
