Cold Electric’s containerized energy storage system prioritizes safety and user-centric design. Unlike conventional hard-shell cells, we use soft-pack LFP cells enhanced with our self-developed, internationally patented electrolyte for greater safety. All cells are 100% made in Taiwan, showcasing strong local innovation and manufacturing.
The enclosure features a wood-textured SMC surface, providing thermal insulation and aesthetic appeal. Our in-house BMS and EMS ensure cybersecurity and protect user data.
Within three years, the system has been adopted by major industrial clients in Taiwan, joined Taipower’s d-Reg 0.25 program, and entered markets in the US, Japan, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
From cell to system, Cold Electric delivers a fully integrated, Taiwan-made solution that unites safety, design, and intelligence—supporting global renewable energy and climate goals.
About Chang Gung International Energy INC.
Cold Electric is established on 15+ years of rigorous research and development of LFP batteries led by researchers at top-tier Taiwanese universities such as National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and Feng Chia University. Engineered meticulously to prevent fire hazards and combustion, our batteries operate at cooler temperatures while providing optimal storage efficiency and maximizing output. Our founder has a long history in manufacturing, developing an end-to-end battery manufacturing process that starts with active materials and ends with a containerized product. Cold Electric is your best partner for safely powering your home, business, or city with electricity. Note: Chang Gung International Energy Inc., formerly known as High Tech Battery Inc., changed its name in 2021..
Mr. Yung-Ching Wang, founder of Formosa Plastics Group, faced a power outage during a factory inspection in Yunlin. The sudden blackout halted production, risking damage to materials and products. Taiwan Power Company explained it was due to a generator failure and rolling blackouts. Though losses were minimal, Mr. Wang saw the urgent need for power reliability and began exploring energy storage solutions. His daughter, Ms. Margaret Wang, responded by founding a company focused on developing energy storage technology. She assembled top scientists and engineers, leading years of research that resulted in safe, efficient lithium iron phosphate (LFP) soft-pack batteries. Ms. Wang promotes domestic energy storage integrated with renewables like solar and wind, aiming to boost Taiwan’s energy independence and resilience. She believes this innovation can help both local and global communities transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
