Caduceus Biotechnology Inc. was founded on March 23, 2016 and was granted to base its headquarter in Hsinchu Science Park since July 2017. The paid-in capital of the company is so far NT $ 145.9 million. The team is made up of highly experienced engineers in optoelectronics and biomedical engineering from ITRT.

To synergistically work with Taiwanese manufacturers of microarray biochip, Caduceus started off from availing of fully fledged technology of optical disk-reading as seen in DVD-ROM industry and has been moving on unceasingly with the enhanced optical engineering for years; therefore, the spinning disk-based microarray scanner has been invented and brought to the industry. Caduceus is engaged in the design,fabrication and sales of own-brand SpinScan Microarry Scanner. Based on laser scanning fluorescent imaging technology, the company has continued to work on other versatile in-vitro diagnostic devices in the pipeline. The company has built up ISO13485 & GMP system.

"Caduceus" Spin Scan Microarray Scanner is the first self-designed and manufactured microarray scanner (HC-BS01) in Taiwan. This disc-like reading of microarray scanner is based on the modified optical pickup head, which can be used for reading genes, peptides, proteins, antibodies and cell microarrays. It can be applied for chromosome defects, allergent, cancer marker, drug and agricultural plant tests. Compared with commercially competitive products, it has the advantages of high precision, fast and high performance/cost value. This scanner has been awarded CE-IVD, TFDA and FDA Class II medical device certifications, and the US patent (US10,520,436 B2). This product has been introduced into production and sales and its manufacturing technology will be transferred to a company located in mainland China. The company will apply for NMPA certification and assembly production and sales in mainland China.
