Taiwan Establishes Itself as Global Leader in Industrial Fasteners Market   

Taipei, Taiwan, April 30th, 2020 – Stimulated by global demand from the automotive, aviation and construction industries, Taiwan is establishing itself as a global leader in the industrial fastener market. In 2019, Taiwan’s fasteners export volume ranked second in the world. And with a US$4.31 billion value, Taiwan also ranks as the world’s fourth-highest export value, only behind China, Germany, and the USA. Always an innovator, Taiwan is also moving toward high value-added applications such as aviation engine screws, medical purpose fasteners, and automotive engine screws.

According to Zion Market Research, the global industrial fastener market is projected to reach US$116.5 billion by 2022, with Taiwan carving out an impressive market share in the global supply of nuts and screws. With the global industrial fastener market poised to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 5.4% from 2017 to 2022, the regional trends in Asia Pacific (APAC), North American, Latin American and the Middle East to watch for include:

· The continued growth of infrastructure, construction and manufacturing in Asia Pacific creating an increased demand for industrial fasteners.

· Increased demand for specialized and customized fasteners in automotive and aerospace in North America and Europe.

·Growing opportunities for industrial fasteners in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa for the automotive, construction and mechanical industries, with Brazil likely to lead the pack.

Taiwan International Fastener Expo, October 14-16, 2020

Originally scheduled for April 21-23, the Taiwan International Fastener Expo has been postponed to October 14-16 at the Kaohsuing Exhibition Hall to ensure the health and safety of its participants. Organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the exhibition showcases Taiwan’s highly integrated fastener supply chain. Held every two years, the expo attracts over 20,000 domestic and foreign buyers as well as relevant enterprises and is the only international fastener exhibition held in Taiwan.

To recognize achievements in the industrial fastener market, Taiwan Excellence will invite fastener media and important buyers to help Taiwan’s fastener enterprises conduct international promotion, enhance the industry’s global recognition and generate business opportunities.

28th Taiwan Excellence Awards Honor Industrial Fastener Manufacturers

Many Taiwanese brands in manufacturing submitted for the 28th Taiwan Excellence Awards, organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and held by TAITRA.

Taiwan Excellence Award winner, Alliance Global Technology, invests in the R&D and production of professional medical-grade screws. Its products evolved from traditional screws to medical devices such as orthopedic correction fasteners and artificial tooth roots. Previously sold through weighing, the products are now sold by quantity, demonstrating the benefits of business transformation. (Alliance Global Technology received investment from Anchor Fasteners Industrial Co. Ltd., a major Taiwanese fastener company)

Another Taiwan Excellence Award winner, Jing Fong Industry Co. Ltd., won for its special nut connector and shock absorber piston valve nut set. Every year, over 20 million new cars use the company’s products including Mercedes Benz, BMW, and other renowned car manufacturers.
