Taiwan Showcases AI Innovations for the European Market at Embedded World 2026
Date published 2026-03-10

Nuremberg, March 10 2026 – Taiwan drew strong attention from the international trade community on the opening day of Embedded World 2026. During a press conference held as part of the Taiwan Excellence Product Launch, international media representatives, industry experts, and key stakeholders gathered at the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion in Hall 2, Booth 2-313 to explore the latest AI and edge innovations from Taiwanese technology companies.

Under the theme “Beyond the Cloud: AI at the Edge,” Taiwan Excellence award-winning companies presented practical applications demonstrating how artificial intelligence is being integrated directly into industrial machinery, equipment, and embedded systems. The event was organized by the International Trade Administration (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).

“Taiwan is advancing its vision of becoming an ‘AI Island,’ by strengthening the connection between semiconductor innovation and real-world edge applications,” said Peggy Lin, Deputy Director of the Strategic Marketing Department at TAITRA. “With industrial production increasing by 16.7 percent in 2025, we are well positioned to serve as a reliable innovation partner for Europe’s smart manufacturing and automation initiatives.”

Ambassador Dr. Klement Gu, Representative of Taiwan in Germany, emphasized the deepening economic partnership between Taiwan and Europe. “Last year marked an important milestone in our bilateral relationship, with trade between Taiwan and Germany reaching a record US$21.7 billion. The recent topping-out ceremony of the ESMC semiconductor facility in Dresden further reflects Taiwan’s long-term industrial commitment to Europe.”

The press conference featured six Taiwan Excellence brands – ADLINK, Advantech, ASUS, DFI, IBASE, and NEXCOM – presenting application scenarios across Smart Solutions, Edge Computing, and Industrial Memory & Storage. The presentations demonstrated how Taiwan’s ecosystem enables AI deployment not only in data centers but directly within industrial embedded environments.

Clement Lin, Chairman & CEO of NEXCOM International Co., Ltd., outlined how edge AI is evolving toward greater integration of physical systems and enterprise IT infrastructures. He explained how industrial automation and software-defined manufacturing are enabling companies to enhance operational resilience and efficiency through AI-enabled systems.

At Embedded World 2026, more than 140 Taiwanese companies are exhibiting, representing one of the largest international contingents at the world’s leading trade fair for embedded technologies. At the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion, 22 award-winning brands are presenting 41 selected products spanning AI computing, industrial networking, storage, and embedded systems.

In addition to the Product Launch, Taiwan Excellence is hosting daily networking sessions at the pavilion throughout the exhibition. The pavilion serves as a central meeting point for European manufacturers, system integrators, and technology partners seeking to exchange insights on AI-powered hardware, edge computing platforms, industrial networking technologies, and memory solutions.
