Taiwan Excellence wowed visitors at the Taiwan Expo with pioneering innovations such as a laptop with a 3D display and an environmentally friendly digital camera made of cardboard.

Berlin, June 12, 2024 – Taiwan Excellence, the symbol of Taiwan's top-quality and most innovative products, proudly celebrates the tremendous success of the Taiwan Expo in Europe. Organized by the International Trade Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the expo was held from June 10 to 12 at the historic Telekom capital representative building in Berlin. Additionally, a football flash mob, in cooperation with SV Rot-Weiß Viktoria Mitte 08, was held on June 1 at Alexa Shopping Center. This event not only showcased Taiwan Excellence's support of the football club's youth but also highlighted Taiwan Excellence's presence in Berlin.

More than 70 products from 26 Taiwan Excellence award-winning companies, under the theme of "Work & Recreation + AI," showcased products from the fields of office equipment, fitness, ICT, electronics, and esports, with a focus on cutting-edge AI technology, bringing convenience and comfort to daily life, whether in the workplace, at home, or during commutes.

Onsite activities at the expo included VIP tours, Tech Shows, Art Salons, and Sports Gala product tours, as well as special sub-events and fun activities, such as the Papershoot camera painting workshop facilitated by Samantha Abdul, Happy Hours, and musical and dance performances. Over XXX potential business partners and buyers participated in the one-on-one business matching program with prominent players across various industries in Taiwan, including ADATA, IPEVO, Sauber, AUO, Gee Hoo, ible, YUANG HSIAN, and HSIN HE HSIN. In summary, the event concluded with remarkable business achievements across the board.

Since its inception in 2017, Taiwan Expo has firmly established itself as an important platform for Taiwanese manufacturers to discover new opportunities and forge global partnerships. A total of 34 successful events have been held in nine major capitals around the world. Overall, it has showcased the innovative products of almost 5,000 Taiwanese companies to more than 750,000 visitors. These relationships have created business opportunities worth over 2 billion US dollars.

Another highlight in Berlin was the Buddy Bear artwork created by artist Anja Riese, which represents Taiwan's image through depictions of tourism, and cuisine. Visitors to the Taiwan Expo were also particularly interested in the fascinating history of the popular Berlin “Ampelmännchen” and its special connection to Taiwan. The iconic pedestrian signal “Xiaolüren” has existed in Taipei since 1999, combining German design with traffic on Taiwanese roads. Those interested in culture could explore the unique cultural fusion in the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion.

Art and Innovation Showcase

At the “Art Salon” on the second day of the expo, Taiwan Excellence showcased the fusion of ICT creativity, and art. Highlights included AUO Corporation's FindARTs High Fidelity ART Display and Sauber's air purifier designed as an oil painting. The event featured notable speakers like Eric Liu from AUO and Gary Yang from Sauber with Felix Chiu of TAITRA in attendance.

Fitness and Tech Highlights

On the final day of Taiwan Expo in Berlin, a fascinating Sports Gala presented top fitness and leisure products. Marie von den Benken attended the event, where Acer's Julian Schubert introduced the AI-powered Acer ebii bike.
