[Jakarta, August 6, 2023] – The much-awaited Taiwan Excellence Happy Run 2023, jointly organized by Taiwan's foremost trade promotion organization, TAITRA, and the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs, took place today at the scenic venue of TAMAN IMPIAN JAYA ANCOL. The event saw an overwhelming response from fitness enthusiasts and supporters of Taiwanese Excellence, with a star-studded lineup of VIP guests and an impressive number of participants. 

The distinguished guests gracing the occasion included Ambassador Mr. John C Chen and Mr. Frank Lu, Director of the Economic Division of the Taipei Economic and Trade Office in Indonesia, Mr. Charly Chiu, Chairman of the Jakarta Taiwanese Hakka Association, Mr. Jason Wang, Chairman Of Indonesia Taiwan Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Iwan Satawidinata, President Director of CTBC, Mr. Makmun Hamsa, General Manager of EVA AIR, Mr. Henry Wu, General Manager of China Airlines, and Mr. Marolop Nainggolan, Director for Market Development and Export Information of DGNED (Directorate General For National Export Development, Ministry of Trade, Indonesia). Their presence added an air of prestige to the event, showcasing the strong bond between Taiwan and Indonesia. 

The response to the Taiwan Excellence Happy Run 2023 was truly remarkable. After opening registration online on July 17, more than 800,000 entries were logged within minutes, and all spots for the Happy Run were filled in record time. In total, including participants in the side events of Pound Fit and mini Zumba, as well as the online 10k race held from July 31st to August 6th, the event saw an impressive turnout of over 6,500 participants. 

This year's Taiwan Excellence Happy Run also received generous support from 24 renowned Taiwan brands, including SYM, Acer, Tokuyo, Tern, PX, VICTOR, Expertgel, LUFTQI, China Airlines, CTBC Bank, EVA AIR, Bin Bin, Companion, Happy Bites, Mr. Brown, PopSmile Popcorn, ICDF, Triko Foods (盛香珍), Yuki's Love (雪之戀), Fried Chicken Master, Happy Lemon, Sharetea, Shiny Tea, and Teazzi Tea Shop. Moreover, other Taiwan Excellence Awards-winners such as ASUS, BenQ, GIGABYTE, MERIDA, MSI, and Transcend supported and showcased their latest products in the outdoor gallery. Over 50 products were displayed, and participants eagerly tried and experienced the excellence of these renowned brands. 

Apart from celebrating fitness and Taiwanese excellence, the Taiwan Excellence Happy Run 2023 embraced the spirit of giving back to the community. The event organizers, in collaboration with TAMAN IMPIAN JAYA ANCOL, extended support to IKAMAT, an organization focused on mangrove adoption and cultivation to improve the ecosystems of tropical regions. Major supporters of the program, CTBC Bank, and Taiwan Excellence, along with numerous runners, generously donated to this noble cause.
